Welcome to Germany !

Because of its history, I have never heard anybody bragging that Germany was his/her Number #1 holiday destination. Personally, I studied German at school for 5 years, which allowed me to go to Germany several times between 1991 and 2004. I had really good times in Kaiserslautern, in Bayern, in Freiburg and eventually in Stuttgart.

During those visits, the Germans that I met were always very friendly and extremely hospitable. Professionally, I worked with German partners for 5 years and they too were very professional and surprise, surprise, quite respectful of the deadlines. Smiley

Freiburg and Stuttgart - From 2002 to 2004, I had the pleasure to work at the National University of Galway having received a Marie-Curie European Sponsorship. Every 6 months, I attended a conference in a different European country. In November 2004, I had the chance to visit Freiburg with its "passive houses" and solar panels, then Stuttgart with its power plant and fuel cells. Note that more photos from Germany will be displayed in a few months!
