Things to do and to see in the United States of America

Welcome to the United States of America!

Welcome to the country famous for its skyscrapers, its movies and its super-size meals. When you arrive in the USA for the first time, you are really amazed by the height of the buildings, particularly if on the day before your arrival, you were, like me, based in Galway, with its average 4-5 storey buildings. Regarding the food, it is quite a challenge to finish your plate, as everything there is served in extra-large format... ah well, our European grannies wouldn't be too happy seeing this.

I had the opportunity to visit Chicago, also called the Windy City, in 2004, during a scientific symposium.
