Welcome to France!

France is obviously a country I know very well since I was born there! Before reaching Irish shores, I had lived 6 years in Champigny-sur-Marne (near Paris), 1 year in Nantes (North-West), 15 years in Clermont-Ferrand (Centre) and 5 years in Nancy (North-East). I've also spent most of my summer holidays in Brittany (North-West), where a lot of my relatives still live. France is divided in 101 departments and 26 regions, of which 22 are located in the Metropolis of France.

	Less famous but very pretty, let's visit the North-East.
	Did you know that this ancient volcano (Puy-de-Dôme) is one of the most visited sites in France, after the Eiffel Tower and Mont St-Michel? The Centre of France is not famous as a tourist venue but is well known internationally thanks to its waters (Volvic), its tyres (Michelin), its extinct volcanoes (Massif Central) and its rugby teams (Clermont d'Auvergne, Brive).
	Enjoy a stroll under the palm trees, visit the South East.
